Metropolitan Pennant - Round 1, 6th October

Upwey Tecoma sides 1 & 2 both won and the third side had a narrow 1 shot loss.

The top side played at home and overcame Waverley Golf (who were relegated from Div 2 last season) 148 - 53 (all rinks up) for an 18-0 result. The rink by rink results were:

- Robin Southern 27-20
- Tom Perry 38-12
- Dave Jones 30-16
- Trevor Robertson 48-10

The second side won against Mulgrave CC 6 at Mulgrave, 98 - 76 with two rinks up, for a 14-4 result. The rink by rink results were:

- Jim Miller 23-24
- Simon Gringhuis 20-23
- Frank Van Vloten 26-14
- Col Benson 29-17

The third side lost to Heatherdale 1 by a single shot, 41 - 40. The rink by rink results were:

- Kevin Gamel 24-12
- George Simons 16-29
